Swiv operates through time-based prediction pools. Each pool is built around a defined question, a fixed timeframe, and a verifiable outcome source.
How a Pool Works
Pool is created
A pool is created with a defined question, timeframe, and outcome source.
Enter the pool
Submit a numerical prediction and stake to enter.
Update anytime before deadline
You may update your prediction at any time before the pool closes.
Pool closes
Once the deadline is reached, no further entries or updates are allowed.
Outcome is submitted
The final outcome is sourced from a trusted oracle and submitted on-chain.
Rewards distributed
Rewards are calculated based on prediction accuracy and behavior, then distributed to participants.
Pool States
Each pool moves through the following states:
Upcoming
Pool is open for entry but has not started yet. Users can submit predictions.
Active
Pool is live and accepting predictions and updates.
Closed
Deadline reached. No further interaction is allowed.
Resolved
Final outcome has been submitted and reward calculations are complete.
Settled
Rewards have been distributed and are claimable by participants.
Once a pool moves to Closed, predictions are locked. Make sure to submit or update your prediction before the deadline.
