How it works
Get your referral link
Open the Referrals page in the app. Your link is your username, in the form
https://app.swiv.xyz/?ref=your-username.Share it
Send your link to anyone. When they open it, your referral is remembered on their device — even if they sign up later.
What you earn
You earn 20% of the protocol fee generated by each person you refer, on their own staked volume, for as long as they play.Swiv charges a small protocol fee on the total volume of each resolved pool. Referrals are paid out of that fee — never on top of it, and never from your referral’s winnings.
Example
Suppose the protocol fee is 5% of pool volume.- You refer a friend, and they stake $100 across pools.
- The protocol collects $5 in fees on that volume.
- Your referral share is 20% of that fee — you earn $1.
Where earnings come from
Only on real fees
You earn only on fees the protocol actually collects. Pools that collect no fee — cancelled pools, refunds, or pools with a single participant — pay no referral.
Per referral, per pool
Your share is calculated from each referral’s own stake in each pool, not from a shared bucket.
Lifetime
You keep earning from a referral’s activity for as long as they keep playing.
Getting paid
Referral earnings accrue to your balance as your referrals play. You can track them on the Referrals page:- Referrals — how many people you’ve brought in.
- Pending — earnings that have accrued and are awaiting payout.
- Paid out — earnings already sent to your wallet.
Rules
Who counts as my referral?
Who counts as my referral?
Anyone who opens your referral link and then creates a new Swiv account. The attribution is set once, when they sign up — it can’t be changed afterward.
Does the link work if they sign up later?
Does the link work if they sign up later?
Yes. When someone opens your link, the referral is remembered on their device for up to 90 days. If they come back and sign up within that window — even without the link — you still get credit.
Can I refer myself?
Can I refer myself?
No. Self-referrals are blocked, and referrals only earn from fees that are actually collected — so there’s nothing to farm by referring your own accounts.
What if someone already has an account?
What if someone already has an account?
Referrals only apply to brand-new sign-ups. Someone who already has a Swiv account can’t be referred, and an existing user clicking a link won’t be re-attributed.
Do I need a username?
Do I need a username?
Yes — your username is your referral code. If you haven’t set one, you’ll be prompted to before your link is active.
