# FAQ

  <Accordion title="Can I update my prediction?">
    Yes. You can update your prediction at any time before the pool closes. However, updating removes your conviction bonus — your weight multiplier drops from **1.5×** to **1.0×**.

  <Accordion title="What happens if I don't update?">
    You receive a **conviction bonus of 1.5×** for maintaining your original prediction through to close. This multiplies your overall weight in the reward calculation.

  <Accordion title="How is the final result determined?">
    The final value is sourced from **Pyth oracle** at the exact pool deadline. The result is submitted on-chain and cannot be altered after submission.

  <Accordion title="What happens if my prediction is far off?">
    Predictions outside the acceptable accuracy range receive an **accuracy score of 0**, resulting in no reward from that pool. Your stake is used to fund the rewards for more accurate participants.

  <Accordion title="When can I claim rewards?">
    After the pool moves to the **Settled** state, rewards can be claimed directly from your account. There is no time limit on claiming once a pool is settled.

  <Accordion title="Can other users see my prediction?">
    No. All predictions and activity are **private until settlement**. After the pool resolves, data is revealed — but by then no further predictions can be made.

  <Accordion title="What is the time bonus?">
    The time bonus rewards early participation. The earlier you enter relative to the pool's open and close time, the higher your bonus — up to **2.5×** for entering at pool open.

  <Accordion title="How do referrals work?">
    Share your referral link — it's your username, as `https://app.swiv.xyz/?ref=your-username`. When someone new signs up through it and plays, you earn **20% of the protocol fee** their staked volume generates, for as long as they play. See the [Referrals](/referrals) page for details.
